Competition Date:
10 October 2020.
​
Eligibility:
Any undergraduate student at a pre-registered University located between New Zealand Standard Time and Indian Standard Time, who has sat the exam at most three times previously.

Competition structure:
Students can enter individually or in pairs. 
A university ranking will be determined based on the highest aggregate score of an Eligible Grouping of entrants at that university. An Eligible Grouping consists of at most 3 individuals and at most 2 pairs, such that at most 4 of the students involved are of the same gender.

Entries and fees:
Universities can enter up to 50 units (either individuals or pairs) for free. For each unit above this limit included in the university’s entrants at the deadline for registrations, a A$25 entry fee is applicable (in the case of Australian universities, GST should be added to this fee).

​​Exam:
Saturday morning: Three hour closed book exam.
Saturday afternoon: Three hour closed book exam.
One of these sessions
may include one open problem. Exam centres will be local universities that have registered for the Competition in advance.

​Curriculum or exam topics:
Typical undergraduate mathematics curriculum, with any special topics specified annually by the Problem Committee.

​Prizes:

The usual cash prizes will NOT be awarded in 2020 due to COVID-19. For details, please check out here.
